A while back I admitted to being a late bloomer to the greatness that is Battlestar Galactica<\/em>\u2026cause seriously, I\u2019m waaaaaay too busy to watch every single TV show that comes out, nerdy or not.\u00a0 Aside from developing an unhealthy addiction to speed in order to eek a few more hours out of my day, my solution was to wait until the entire series came out on DVD and then watch it all in an epic month long marathon.<\/p>\n

Personally, I think I made the right decision on this one.\u00a0 I don\u2019t know how people waited from week to week to find out what happened next.\u00a0 Sounds like torture to me.<\/p>\n

I finished my marathon a few weeks ago so I thought it might be fun to do a little wrap up of all things BSG.\u00a0 Some totally random parting thoughts\u2026<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0Anyone else think it\u2019s funny that when Lee and Dee got married, their names rhymed?\u00a0 Even funnier for me was the fact that her name became Dualla Adama.\u00a0 I don\u2019t know why, but that cracks me up.\u00a0 Oh wait, Dualla is her last name?\u00a0 What\u2019s her first name?\u00a0 Anastasia?\u00a0 Where the frak did that come from?<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0Oh Boomer.\u00a0 Boomer, Boomer, Boomer.\u00a0 There were times when I really had hope for you and then you would go and frak it all up.\u00a0 I mean, really, you HAD to beat the shit out of Athena, then bang her husband right in front of her?\u00a0 Beee-yatch!\u00a0 I guess<\/em> you sort of redeemed yourself at the end but I would have shot you in the face too.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0Why was Six the only Cylon who got to try out different hair do\u2019s?\u00a0 I\u2019m sure Eight would have liked to have rocked something other than stringy bangs for once.<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0I love how Kat went from flashing her naughty bits in D’Anna\u2019s documentary to suddenly having to hide her past from everyone.\u00a0 Damn girl, you need to get your shit straight.<\/p>\n

5.\u00a0I\u2019m not sure what this says about me, but I liked Saul way more AFTER he found out he was a Cylon.\u00a0 Tory?\u00a0 Never really liked her.<\/p>\n

6.\u00a0Helo, you went from being a throwaway character to being one of the most important characters on the whole show.\u00a0 Not really sure how you did that, but I\u2019m very glad you did.\u00a0 And dude, you\u2019re huge.\u00a0 What are you, like half giant or something?<\/p>\n

7.\u00a0I miss Billy, he was such a sweet kid.<\/p>\n

8.\u00a0So what the frak was Starbuck anyways?\u00a0 An Angel?\u00a0 I was obsessed with suns, moons and stars as a kid and used to paint them on EVERYTHING…does that mean I’ll end up like her?<\/p>\n

9.\u00a0Dude, I don\u2019t care if he\u2019s a Cylon, a vegetable, a hybrid, whatever, when it comes to Anders I would totally hit that.\u00a0 He was one sexy bitch.\u00a0 And he waits for you on the other side, isn\u2019t that adorable?<\/p>\n

10.\u00a0Laura Roslin is my kinda woman, it\u2019s too bad she spent so much time being cancer girl.\u00a0 I watched someone near and dear to me waste away from that last year, it was hard to watch that again.<\/p>\n

11.\u00a0The look Tyrol gave Tory when he saw that she had killed Cally was crazy.\u00a0 When he snapped his head around like that, it was like watching a Borg or a Terminator.\u00a0 It really brought home the fact that he was a machine.<\/p>\n

12.\u00a0I love that Badger ends up being the President of the Colonies.<\/p>\n

13.\u00a0Cally smelled like cabbage?\u00a0 WTF is in that algae shit anyways?<\/p>\n

14.\u00a0Hot Dog, I know you’re EJO’s kid and all, but this\u00a0video is probably the best thing I could find of you from BSG.<\/p>\n

Oh, and you got knocked out by a girl.\u00a0 An awesome girl.\u00a0 But a girl nonetheless.<\/p>\n

15.\u00a0Soooooo\u2026.are we all Human-Cylon hybrids descended from Hera?\u00a0 Cause that was the past right?\u00a0 Or is it the future?\u00a0 Does this mean that we can blame the Japanese and their creepy humanoid robots for the near destruction of humanity?<\/p>\n

16.\u00a0I, too, would like some resurrection technology.\u00a0 Thanks Helen\u2026.uhhh\u2026Mom.<\/p>\n

17.\u00a0Holy frakking shit Dee.\u00a0 I never saw that one coming.<\/p>\n

18.\u00a0Really Helen, you modeled One after your dad and then you did the “swirl” with him?\u00a0 That is disturbing on so many levels.<\/p>\n

19.\u00a0TNG Number One = hot.\u00a0 BSG Number One = not.<\/p>\n

20. Gaeta, you went from being one of my very favorite characters to my least favorite.\u00a0 The way your storyline ended made me sad.\u00a0 See? –> \ud83d\ude41<\/p>\n

21.\u00a0Tahmoh Penikett \u2013 what the hell kind of name is that?\u00a0 You\u2019re Canadian and your sisters are named Sarah and Stephanie.\u00a0 I don\u2019t get it.<\/p>\n

22.\u00a0Baltar \u2013 you crazy.<\/p>\n

23.\u00a0I kind of had a thing for you Lee Adama.\u00a0 Then Anders came along and you were sort of old news.\u00a0 Then you ditched the uniform, and while I\u2019ll admit you look pretty spiffy in a suit, it doesn\u2019t compare to the uniform.\u00a0 Then I found out you tried to have sex with Starbuck while she was engaged to your brother.\u00a0 Now I kind of think you\u2019re a douche.\u00a0 A cute douche.<\/p>\n

24.\u00a0Admiral Adama, I would follow you to the end of the galaxy too.\u00a0 I\u2019ve learned this about myself.\u00a0 But you kind of spit when you\u2019re mad.\u00a0 Or sad.\u00a0 Or drunk.\u00a0 It\u2019s a little gross.\u00a0 But I still heart you.<\/p>\n

25.\u00a0Humans will never, ever change.\u00a0 We see native peoples and just assume that they’ll want to procreate with us. Excuse me, Mr. Tribesman? Would you mind whipping it out for us?\u00a0 We really need to breed.\u00a0 kthx.<\/p>\n
