{"id":3065,"date":"2012-04-04T12:28:44","date_gmt":"2012-04-04T19:28:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hotnerdgirl.wordpress.com\/?p=3065"},"modified":"2024-02-28T09:31:49","modified_gmt":"2024-02-28T09:31:49","slug":"daredevil-podcast-worlds-best-podcast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hotnerdgirl.com\/index.php\/2012\/04\/04\/daredevil-podcast-worlds-best-podcast\/","title":{"rendered":"Daredevil Podcast (World&#8217;s Best Podcast)"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_3127\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3127\" style=\"width: 584px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3127\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Having a picture of yourself in a miscellaneous superhero costume comes in handy more than you'd think<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>About a month ago I got an email from Isaac over at World&#8217;s Best Podcast asking me if I&#8217;d like to participate in the occasional podcast session. \u00a0I&#8217;ve never done a podcast before so I said I would be delighted! \u00a0After a meet and greet via Skype it was decided that my first guest appearance would be for the <em>Dardevil<\/em>\u00a0movie discussion.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve gotta say, I had a lot of fun participating in this. \u00a0Isaac and Adam are fantastic and it&#8217;s extremely refreshing to geek out with other nerds. \u00a0Usually when I start talking about this stuff with virtual strangers they either look at me like they think I&#8217;m insane or like they want to pat me on the head and shoo me out of the room before I embarrass either them or myself. Except at Conventions aka My Happy Place.<\/p>\n<p>Two things I learned from my first podcasting experience:<\/p>\n<p>1. I need to get a better mic. \u00a0I&#8217;ll do that at some point.<\/p>\n<p>2. I need to not play with the microphone cord. \u00a0Ever. \u00a0I did that a lot and, totally\u00a0unbeknownst\u00a0to me, it resulted in some lovely I Am T-Pain vocal sound effects. \u00a0Luckily the podcast gods were looking out for me and I did it mostly when I was listening so Auto Tune Tracy only pops up at the very beginning of the podcast.<\/p>\n<p>So, without further ado, here&#8217;s Isaac, Adam and yours truly discussing the movie\u00a0<em>Daredevil\u00a0<\/em>starring Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, Michael Clarke Duncan, Colin Farrell and Jon Favreau. \u00a0Hope you like it!<\/p>\n<div>\n\n<p>Oh, and sometimes the above player takes it&#8217;s sweet time buffering and I can&#8217;t figure out how to fix that.
