My birthday is on Sunday (that\u2019s right, I\u2019m a\u00a0Groundhog baby) and for the past two years I\u2019ve posted a photo shoot to mark the occasion. In 2012 it was\u00a0Batgirl. Last year it was a superhero character I created named\u00a0Delilah. This year I decided to whip out my pistol and dress up like a pirate.<\/p>\n

Because, let\u2019s face it, Pirates are awesome. Plus, I\u2019m the descendant of Vikings so acting like a Pirate for a day isn\u2019t that far of a stretch. Also, Pirates are awesome.<\/p>\n

I always have a lot of fun writing the little stories that go along with the pictures and folks seem to like them so I\u2019ll just keep doing it\u00a0<\/p>\n

What\u2019s that? You want to win a signed copy of one of these pictures? Ok, fine. There\u2019s a contest after the pics.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Well, ahoy there Matey, my name is Captain Tracy.<\/em><\/p>\n

Some folks don\u2019t like me being the\u00a0Captain\u00a0on account of my being a member of the fairer\u00a0sex.<\/em><\/p>\n

But I don\u2019t really give a damn what they think. Just don\u2019t call me a \u201cwench.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

No really, you do NOT want to call me a wench.<\/em><\/p>\n

I know my way around a sword and I will cut you.<\/em><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been in my share of fights.<\/em><\/p>\n

And sent more than a few men to Davy Jones\u2019 locker.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s just say that I can hold my own with the boys.<\/em><\/p>\n

How else do you think I got to be Captain?<\/em><\/p>\n

It certainly wasn\u2019t from hitting the bottle.<\/em><\/p>\n

And I don\u2019t take shit lying down.<\/em><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve got a great sense of humor and can be a bit of a flirt.<\/em><\/p>\n

OK, maybe more than a bit at times.<\/em><\/p>\n

But when shit gets real\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n

\u2026I\u2019m all business.<\/em><\/p>\n

So don\u2019t let me catch you going after my treasure.<\/em><\/p>\n

Because I will not be a happy Captain.<\/em><\/p>\n

Now where were we?<\/em><\/p>\n

Oh yeah\u2026wanna see my ship? It\u2019s right over there.<\/em><\/p>\n

You can come aboard if you promise to behave.<\/em><\/p>\n

We can sail off into the sunset in search of adventure!<\/em><\/p>\n

And to my friend Erika for letting me borrow her \u201cpirate wench hooker boots.\u201d I don\u2019t know how she walks in those, I could barely stand and almost fell over more times than I can count.<\/p>\n

Quick announcement: my NerdBFF\u00a0Geek Outlaw\u00a0and I are going to have our first booth at a convention! So if you\u2019re in the LA area on February 9th, please come by and say hi. Since we\u2019ve never done this before, we\u2019re testing the waters at a smaller convention, the\u00a0Los Angeles Comic Book & Science Fiction Convention. I don\u2019t know our booth number yet but I\u2019ll announce it on the facebook page when I find out.<\/p>\n
