Today is my birthday (that\u2019s right, I\u2019m a\u00a0Groundhog baby) and for the past three years I\u2019ve posted a photo shoot to mark the occasion. In 2012 it was\u00a0Batgirl. In 2013 it was a superhero character I created named\u00a0Delilah. Last year it was the\u00a0Dread Pirate Tracy.<\/p>\n

This year I FINALLY got my acceptance letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry (thank YOU Professor\u00a0McGonagall) so I grabbed my robes, my broom and my handmade wand (I totally whittled and painted it myself thankyouverymuch) and snuck into the Forbidden Forest for some practice.<\/p>\n

In case you were wondering, I got sorted into Gryffindor. The socks may have given that away.<\/p>\n

I always have a lot of fun writing the silly little stories that go along with the pictures (yes, I know exactly how silly they are) and folks seem to like them so I\u2019ll just keep doing it\u00a0<\/p>\n

What\u2019s that? You want to win a signed copy of one of these pictures? Ok, fine. There\u2019s a contest after the pics. BUT WAIT! This time there\u2019s actually TWO contests!<\/strong><\/p>\n

I wonder why they chose me, I\u2019m a bit old for a First Year\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n

Oh well, don\u2019t care! I love practicing spells with my wand.<\/em><\/p>\n

Sometimes I even get a spell to work!<\/em><\/p>\n

Flying on my broomstick is also pretty wicked.<\/em><\/p>\n

Wait \u2013 full stop \u2013 what is THAT??<\/em><\/p>\n

The Dark Lord is back! Better race back to Hogwarts and warn everyone!<\/em><\/p>\n

I got this guys!<\/em><\/p>\n

Take THAT Lord Voldemort!<\/em><\/p>\n

All in day\u2019s work.<\/em><\/p>\n

The\u00a0Harry Potter<\/em>\u00a0pictures were supposed to be a few quick ones for the calendars and thanks to his wonderful talent, we ended up shooting a ton! To\u00a0Mama Jedi\u00a0for assisting on yet another photo shoot and for being my biggest cheerleader. To my friend and\u00a0HNG Podcast\u00a0co-host Darcy for over 4 years of constant motivation and support. Seriously, I couldn\u2019t do this without him. To Reba for the lovely, and very last-minute, watermarks. And to my talented artist friend,\u00a0Ben Risbeck, for fabulous, and also last-minute, photo shopping of the spell effects.<\/p>\n
